Project Coordinator Job at Wicomico County
Duties:
Responsible for review and construction coordination of public works projects relating to subdivisions, road improvements, dams, bridges, and other related governmental facilities. Develop plan drawings and specifications for guardrail, closed and open storm drain systems, road design and other projects as needed. Complete topographical surveys to support the capital improvements program design activities. Collect, compile and analyze County Highway Traffic data, using electronic counting equipment and manual counting methods. Plan, collect data and prepare traffic engineering safety studies, economic feasibility studies and preliminary engineering concept plans. Review Traffic Control Plans and studies. Familiar with duties of Project coordinator I. Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
Ability to establish effective working relationship with consultants, contractors, co-workers and the public. Good oral and written communication skills. Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of construction. Ability to interpret data and read and plot field notes. Ability to give clear and concise reports on projects.
Special Requirements:
High school diploma. Associate’s Degree or Surveying background preferred. Experience in construction and project coordination. Aptitude for understanding and reading construction documents. Possession of a valid driver’s license, CDL license preferred. Ability to obtain Flagger, Erosion and Sediment Control Practices, and Homeland Security Certifications. Ability to pass drug testing. Ability to comprehend safety training. CPR and First Aid Certifications. Fire Extinguisher Certification. Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day for emergency situations. Obtain all necessary NIMS Certifications

Pay: $35,000.00 - $41,595.00 per year
