General Summary
The Campbells Project Execution Engineering Team is a high-performance organization and a critical business partner in delivering strategic value-based solutions and innovative technologies. Our mission is to provide engineering leadership and expertise in support of Campbell’s innovation, and Supply Chain strategies. As a member of the Campbells Corporate Engineering Team, you will help develop major capital projects from initial concept through detail design, installation, system commissioning, and startup. The ideal candidate is an inventive and competent problem solver who can work through technical challenges and employ pragmatic solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Management of projects and/or programs ranging from $500,000 to up to $20MM
- Manage parts or all aspects of the capital project scope development, cost estimates and schedule by collaborating both within the engineering organization as well as with cross functional business partners in a matrix organization
- Analyze complex, automated food processing and packaging equipment, to select optimal solutions for manufacturing facilities.
- This position requires management of both external and internal resources and influencing cross functional stakeholders as well as effectively resolving issues and managing conflict.
- Leverages internal project management processes and employs company standards to optimize systems design and efficiencies.
- Creates equipment and installation specifications as well as engineering services “Requests for Proposals” for the execution of capital projects.
- Develops and maintains engineering and equipment design standards and principles.
- Provide schedules, project authorization documents, cost controls, development of RFPs and functional testing, descriptions, inspections, startup, training requirements for new installations including supporting the development of operating instructions and maintenance manuals.
- Coordinate and review contractor and vendor activity and interface with plant personnel insuring compliance with plant and corporate standards
- Supports engineering studies associated with complex projects often involved with new or improved products, manufacturing processes or techniques
- Effectively track project scope schedule, cost, and convey information in a timely and effective manner to the project team
- Encourages the application of new and improved methodologies and will maintain current knowledge of technical innovations
- Support new product initiatives and works as part of a cross-functional team to define capability, scope and capital investment required to implement.
- Interact with outside vendors on technical details for equipment specifications and design requirements.
- Identify innovative technical solutions for both existing and future manufacturing systems and develops strategies that deliver automated, repeatable, and standardized processes.
- This position can cover multiple locations across the U.S. and requires a significant understanding of the business side of a Food Company as well as the ability to effectively communicate with and lead cross functional resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing Engineering
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- AutoCAD & MS Project proficiency
- Ability to travel up to 60%

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$85,900.00 - $158,900.00
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
