As the Expansion Project Manager for Bezos Academy, you will manage cross-departmental projects to prepare the organization to enter new regions and grow our national network of tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools. You will collaborate with Bezos Academy leaders to review timelines and identify downstream dependencies by creating project plans and communication structures that ensure coordinated action and execution. You will manage strategic projects that drive our mission, align diverse stakeholder interests, and enhance the expansion team's communication and knowledge sharing.

You can easily navigate complexity and ambiguity while maintaining high standards and driving towards outcomes. You are a skilled relationship builder who will provide diplomatic and timely communication in a start-up environment with evolving planning cycles. You will work closely with colleagues from across the organization, including the Partnerships, Talent, Education, and Operations teams to deliver results.

You have prior experience with project management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. LOCATION

  • Flexible in the United States; Seattle, WA preferred
  • Relocation support is available for those willing to relocate to Seattle, WA.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.
  • The full salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $83,000 - $165,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location.
  • This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of professional experience, with at least two years of relevant project management, management consulting, or strategy experience
  • Demonstrated success in influencing multiple stakeholders to build trusting relationships and partnerships
  • Demonstrated technical skills in project management (ability to perform risk analysis, utilize project management software, and handle multiple complex projects)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to produce clear and compelling written communication
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 10% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in one or more project management methodologies (Agile, PMP, etc.)
  • Experience working across lines of difference and strong personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness
  • Experience working with expansion activities for a growing organization
  • Prior experience working in an educational environment
  • Proven results from influencing and aligning stakeholders across functions and levels
  • Highly organized with demonstrated experience owning, structuring, and managing multiple parallel projects that routinely require prioritization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Experience simplifying complex information and using data and metrics to drive decision making
  • Ability to take ambiguous organizational challenges and determine clear pathways forward
