Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to support our federal customers in Denver, CO.
The Project Manager will be responsible for directing the performance of a variety of related projects and implementing project management principles to ensure that high quality products and services are delivered according to the agreed schedule and budget. The projects being supported are primarily those concerning the deployment of emerging, sustainable, energy-saving technologies.
The expectation is that each Project Manager will manage, on average, 8 projects at any given time. Telework is available, with the requirement that staff must be located within commuting distance (defined as 50 miles) from the assigned worksite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees and owns the project management process from start to finish.
- Makes recommendations on number of sites needed successfully execute project goals.
- Coordinates with vendors, labs and various client offices to select suitable site(s) for successful installation and evaluation of technologies. This may involve physical site visits.
- Coordinates with labs to develop a plan which identifies what is being measured, all project success factors, and the main value proposition being tested.
- Conducts onsite meetings to assess whether the site will support project needs, collaborates with facility management staff and lays out a plan forward.
- Oversees the installation and implementation of new technology with client systems.
- Ensures that relevant and accurate data is continuously collected.
- Actively manages obstacles and project risks that may disrupt operation of equipment or collection of data.
- Leads bi-weekly progress meetings, with one milestone check in meeting onsite. Use meetings to communicate and adjust as needed.
- Ensures that labs are actively moving reports forward and following the goals and objectives of the Project Plan. Leads report review process and comment collection.
- Manages complete close out of technology evaluation.
- If requested, may oversee the removal of technology from client sites upon project completion.
Your Education & Experience:
- Requires a bachelors degree in business, project management, environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related field and a minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
- Specialized Project Management expertise, as demonstrated by certification or other training.
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership experience, coordinating a team of individuals to achieve successful project completion.
- Must be familiar with all aspects of strong project and program management as it relates to facilities management and emerging technologies in areas of strategic planning, performance measures, budget, acquisitions planning, communications, and cost savings efficiencies.
- Must possess specialized knowledge of federal facility standards, operational and strategic report development, technical writing, M&V standards.
- Must possess working knowledge of various data analysis tools, such as R, Tableau, python.
- Understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) including knowledge and operation of IBM Maximo is preferred
