Position Overview:
  • Completes broad scope of technical tasks including installation/commissioning, maintenance and evaluation of customers equipment and systems among others (after PM100).
  • Determines priorities of tasks and actions and schedules measures accordingly. * Supports customer remotely and onsite, and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
  • Contributes to or conducts the maintenance and improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories.
  • Contributes to or executes activities for estimation, planning, and review of technical tasks in support of overall project acquisition, negotiation, planning and management (partly before PM100).
  • Adheres to relevant processes and regulations.
  • May manage sub-contractors and monitors delivery.
  • May be involved in technical design and developments for service offerings.
  • Relocation may be offered for this role should it be necessary
Responsibilities:
  • Will Support Operational Excellence as required by the Business
  • Liaison between Operational Readiness and Service team(s), to support 72One99.
  • Train Site Managers & Technicians on the Gamesa Machines
    • Safety
    • Technical
    • IT applications
  • Support development training strategy for the District, CP, AP, & APT
  • Perform Technical (alarm & health report) analysis of Windfarms within District on a Weekly and/or Monthly Basis, to include utilization Windhub case management system.
  • Travel to improve the technical performance of windfarms within the District
  • Operate as an extension of the District Manager. This means interacting with customers and other stakeholders as necessary to manage the District
  • Along with supporting the management of our wind service contracts this function will lead strategic initiatives designed to improve the way we perform the servicing of our wind farms
  • Facilitate the resolution of site technical and resource issues by liaising with the Regional wind service teams
  • Interface with SCADA team as it pertains to site (software updates, SUR, and PCRs)
  • Help compile contractual reporting requirements
  • Maintain data tracking for the District. This includes monthly List of Open Points items, NCC costs, Monthly reports, and periodic SM support.
  • Maintain processing of financial data: service order creation, as well as purchase order’s
  • Have a detailed working knowledge of site service contractual agreements and help ensure that sites are operated within its guidelines
  • Provide technical feedback in the warranty management process
  • Maintain visibility and assist in management of milestones relating to individual projects. I:e, transition from service to EOW, to closure.
  • Assisting in cultural development: I.e. assist in leading or creating the safety, or working culture on site when necessary.
  • Support / interface with Aftermarket Sales
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills
  • 4 or 5 years of experience in the wind industry.
  • Have a detailed working knowledge of Siemens Gamesa Wind Turbines. Specifically the Gamesa Technology to include IT applications, is preferred .
  • The ability to travel on a regular basis will be a requirement for this position. 60% travel is required
  • Travel will typically be between the District sites assigned to this position International travel will be required on a less regular basis
  • Additionally the Project Manager position requires the candidate to be able to ascend to heights up to 300 feet or greater work in confined spaces discern colors and meet body weight restrictions of 260 pounds
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States

Preferred Knowledge, Education, Experience and Skills
  • Six Sigma certification is preferred
  • PMP certification / PM @ Certification. Must be achieved within 6 months after hire date.
