Job Description:


We are hiring an experienced Property Manager for Veterans Affairs (VA) Building 207, a 59-unit, senior residential property located in the West Los Angeles Veterans Campus.

TSA is dedicated to being a part of the solution to end homelessness in Los Angeles and is proud to be part of a historic effort to transform the West Los Angeles Veterans Campus into a supportive, vibrant, and sustainable community of approximately 1,200 Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) units. Building 207 will be one of the first buildings on the West LA VA campus to welcome home Veterans experiencing homelessness. It will be comprised of 26 No Place Like Home units (designated for Veterans living with a mental illness and experiencing homelessness) and 33 units designated for the general homeless Veteran population. Building 207 units will be for seniors 62 and over.

All units will be supported by social service professionals who will work on-site to help Veterans retain their housing and thrive in the community.

PSH is an evidence-based intervention for chronically homeless households that combines rental assistance with supportive services. It allows vulnerable individuals and families who have experienced homelessness and who are living with chronic mental and physical disabilities to live as independently as possible with support.

Salaries range from $27.00 - $35.00/hour and are based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning exciting resident activities to create a warm community environment
  • Supervising on-site maintenance staff and projects to preserve the property in a beautiful condition
  • Retaining resident files and conducting income certifications according to program guidelines
  • Maintaining resident relations in compliance with Occupancy and Fair Housing guidelines
  • Managing relationship with onsite social service provider through referrals and on-going communication for residents in need.
  • Reviewing monthly financial reports and preparing annual budgets
  • Marketing and leasing vacancies to maintain a 100% occupancy rate

Required Experience:
  • High School diploma/GED required. College degree or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ solid management experience in hospitality, hotel or apartment community experience (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with Section 8 and/or Tax Credit affordable housing programs preferred but not required. We provide amazing training and mentorship.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office required. Yardi preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Warm, outgoing personality
  • Strong written and verbal skills
