PTSD Specialist treating First Responders Job at Institutes of Health
We are looking for Licensed Psychologists, Post Doc Psych Associates, LMFT, LPC or LCSWs with expertise in treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder using evidenced based treatment of Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy. We have the honor of helping First Responders across the state of California who've been injured as a result of the work they do.
We are an interdisciplinary team that specializes in treating PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Pain disorders, Brain Injuries, and Sleep problems. Our team is passionate about helping our patients within our creative, fun and supportive work environment.
Every person that works at IOH is an important part of our team. We have weekly team meetings that focus on our different intensive outpatient programs. We often have over 40+ staff involved discussing our patients' treatment plans. Our healing environment is very effective at helping people with newer injures as well as those who have been suffering for years and who have lost hope.
Primary Responsibilities:
- As part of our Intensive Outpatient Programs team your primary responsibilities would include providing evidenced based PTSD treatments a member of our interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications:
- For Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers, you must hold a current and unrestricted license in the State of California
- For Psych Assistants, you must have a Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D), and you are working towards licensure in California.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in law enforcement, first responders or any other paramilitary profession.
- Experience treating patients with PTSD using Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Flexibility and dependability
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Generous monthly bonus program available for all full time employees. Position will also include bilingual differential pay, if applicable.
This is not a remote work position.
