This position will perform a variety of research projects in Highway Safety and Victim Services sections of DPS. These projects include locating and compiling data from internal databases and record management systems. Calculate percentages, averages and rates based on that data and summarize results. Locate and compile information from various sources and organize/compile into summary reports or quick reference guides. Perform reviews and inventory reports, documents and equipment and annotate findings using internal record management systems. Review case files using record management systems and online reporting databases. Compile specific data based on those reviews and document findings.
Position is located at the Department of Public Safety office, Pierre SD.
General Requirements:
Candidate should be technically proficient in a variety of computer programs, such as word and excel. College student with coursework in accounting, business, or criminal justice is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have excellent analytical skills and experience with computer programs, including excel database experience.
- Ability to read, comprehend and summarize data from various sources.
- Ability to work independently.
