Job Description
Grandma knows best and she is looking for a organized and talented individual to join her family as a Purchaser. The Purchaser will coordinate the flow of ingredients and packaging to ensure that all products are readily available for the production schedule, while ensuring that the products are to specifications and costs are within budget
Qualifications
Additional Information
- Compare prices, specifications, and lead times from vendors
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Responsible for the procurement life cycle of products
- Perform vendor and market assessments to aid in procurement strategies and operational efficiencies
- Ensure that the products are purchased on time for the production schedule
- Establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance
- Work closely with R&D team on new products
- Create, follow-up, and maintain purchase orders
- Perform other duties as directed by the CEO
Additional Information
- Must have good math skills
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect warning devices/
- Must be capable of movement throughout the plant
