Overview

Traditions of America – a national leader in the development of 55+ lifestyle communities – seeks a motivated, detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join its growing Purchasing Department at the Corporate Headquarters in Berwyn, PA. In this hands-on and fast-paced role, the Purchasing Coordinator is instrumental in assisting the Purchasing Manager and Lead Estimator with daily operations. Working closely with colleagues, the Purchasing Coordinator will gain broad exposure to the building industry with targeted training and development. This position has significant room for advancement.

Job Description

  • Maintaining purchasing and vendor databases
  • Entering and updating work orders and purchase orders
  • Researching and creating vendor files and contacts
  • Interacting with vendors and on-site personnel to help maintain job schedule
  • Option creation including contacting vendors to obtain contract cost
  • Maintaining contracts, options and vendor lists within MarkSystems
  • Proforma report analysis at close of each home
  • Minimal travel to job sites is required

Job Requirements

Candidates shall have:

  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Prior purchasing experience in the residential homebuilding industry is a plus, but not required
  • A team player mentality
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive and energetic approach to the role
  • Prior experience with MarkSystems a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
