Information Assurance Vulnerability Analyst

Leidos Defense Group is looking for a Information Assurance Vulnerability Analyst to work at Joint Base Andrews supporting the AFNCR IT Services program.

Job Summary:

The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); and National Military Command Center (NMCC). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for meeting both regulatory and non-regulatory compliance demands.

• Management and enforcement of information security policies, training and educating end-users on proper security practices.

• Conducting security and risk assessments using security frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Common Criteria, etc.), mitigating risk via security controls, testing and evaluation to certify and accredit commercial security products.

• Ensuring privacy of data throughout its life-cycle, vulnerability management (scanning, assessment, reporting, and mitigation verification), business continuity and disaster recovery.

• Responsible for a combination of duties to protect information and maintain security controls for an entire system, site, or program in order to reduce risk.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of specific IT Security experience may be consisdered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience conducting the associated activities with IT Information Assurance Vulnerability, NIST and RMF.

• Must have a DoD Active Secret clearance.

• DoD 8570 Compliant certifications to include IAT-II at start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACAS, ACT, IAVA Reporting, eMASS.
