This position is responsible to support Quality activities at Distribution Centers, from inspection of incoming material, containment and disposition of material. This position will receive direction from Corporate Warranty, Customer and Distribution Quality Manager.

Essential responsibilities include an enthusiasm to learn all of the company’s products, planning, development, and implementation of product quality and process improvement activities.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Conduct incoming inspection per defined plan – priority on new sourced product
• Identify non-conforming material, and take initiative to investigate exposure to contain suspect material
• Strong communication skills to convey findings, and confirm understanding of direction for disposition
• Effective processing of customer returns, follow RGA instructions and escalate when finding discrepancies with material and RGA paperwork
• Support inventory on-hold sort and disposition activities, up to supervision of 3rd party support
• Audit/inspect in-house inventory for conformance to specifications
• Participate in cross-functional teams on process control, improvement, and optimization projects; participate in other continuous improvement projects.
• Conduct and evaluate RGA returns, evaluate suitability of product for resale, repack & return to stock.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Requires a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree is preferable.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Ability to design and prepare concise reports
• Skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate level

• Understanding and capability to read drawings.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to support 3PLs – local warehouses

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

• Up to 25% travel, in support of intracompany, customer and supplier visits
