This position is primarily responsible for inspecting flowers that are arriving into DVFGs Miami facility. This role will work closely with our Primary Quality inspector and will perform QA functions to ensure that inbound products meet our quality and grade expectations, prior to being loaded on the outbound trucks.


Essential Functions:

  • This is a full time position with your days off being Tuesday & Saturday, with a 9am start time. Additional days/hours or adjustment to daily start time may change due to peak business periods or additional workload.
  • Inspect Inbound floral shipments to ensure that all product meets DVFG quality requirements.
  • Communicate with both New Jersey QA team and Product Managers when a product arrives but determined to be of poor quality.
  • Upon inspection of product imported from farms or delivered by local suppliers and determined to be of poor quality, this role will coordinate a credit from the vendor.
  • This position will help to re-package Custom inspection boxes, when necessary, prior to outbound truck shipment.
  • This position will assist our Miami Operations Manager in any tasks needed to help facilitate the movement of shipments through to the truck loading stage.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Work, Excel and Outlook. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Apprise software will be required after training.
  • Possess specific knowledge of floral products
  • Mandatory attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with other departments (such as Sales, Purchasing, Distribution, Operations and Central Desk).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Written & Oral communication required
