Ryerson’s is currently seeking an Quality Coordinator to join our Operations team in the Centralia, WA market, reporting to the Quality Manager.

This role will be responsible for the following:

1. Interpret technical drawings including characteristics such as views, title blocks, dimensioning, tolerancing, GD&T symbols, etc. Interpret specification requirements in relation to product and process characteristics.
2. Identify and apply various evaluations and tests to qualify and validate metal cutting and fabrication processes to ensure their fitness for use. Define, describe, and classify the seriousness of product and process defects.
3. Select and describe appropriate uses of inspection tools such as gage blocks, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, etc.
4. Identify, describe, and apply metrology techniques such as calibration systems, traceability to calibration standards, measurement error and its sources, and control and maintenance of measurement standards and devices.
5. Select, construct, apply, and interpret tools such as flowcharts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, control charts, check sheets, scatter diagrams, and histograms.
6. Identify, describe, and apply elements of the corrective action process including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrence control, verification of effectiveness, etc.
7. Identify, describe, and apply various preventive action tools such as error-proofing/poka-yoke, robust process design, etc., and analyze their effectiveness.
8.Support ISO 9001 certification (calibration, 8Ds, NCRs, document management, JWIs, etc.) as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
