CVM is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Engineer. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer verifies conformance of product through inspection and proactively assures product quality through advanced planning, statistical analysis, root cause analysis and verification of corrective/preventive actions. Works with internal and external suppliers and customers to achieve quality excellence through proven quality methods.
Responsibilities:
- Performs inspection of both incoming materials from suppliers and of finished product.
- Prepares 1st Article Inspection Report documentation.
- Performs manufacturing methodology analysis to develop in process product inspection standards and devise testing methods and procedures.
- Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods and procedures.
- Establishes rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
- Collects and analyzes data, including statistical analysis to determine process capability, measurement methods, and support inspection plans.
- Provides QA support to APQP teams for new products and tracks QA actions for APQP.
- Initiate Corrective Action Reports; lead Root Cause Analysis Activities
Requirements:
- BS/BA in Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum two (2) years experience working in a Quality Department in a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced in measurement techniques, root cause analysis, implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Working knowledge of statistical process control, gage R&R, auditing, advance quality product planning (APQP), and production part approval process (PPAP)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
