MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
1. Inspect and Monitor Quality of Mattress Foam and data input in the system
2. Document Control and CFR (Code of Federal Regulation) Test
3. Inspect incoming chemicals
4. Ensure verification of 4M changes (Material, Man, Machine, Method)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform lab tests in accordance with standardized procedures
2. Perform daily product inspection and CFR (Code of Federal Regulation) Test
3. Perform daily inspection process/product audits on incoming chemicals
4. Enter inspection result in SAP system
5. Prepare reports and logs for test result
6. Ensures documents in the Quality Management System are up-to-date and reviewed at regular intervals
7. Initiate, Monitor and Participate in corrective action
8. Root cause analysis and corrective actions
9. Audit lab procedures and methods to ensure proper audits

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assumes other duties as assigned by Team Manager and Director.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:

1. Associate or Bachelor's in Engineering or related discipline.
2. 5+ years of Quality control, Quality assurance, Quality Lab and/or environmental safety experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Familiar with quality management systems such as UTM (universal Testing Machine)
4. Strong background in laboratory concepts, practices and standard procedures, including safety
5. Familiar with Urethane and Foam or similar process
6. Ability to understand Foam & Mattress test standard (CFR 1633, ASTM D3574)
7. Knowledge in ERP (SAP) 8. Strong foundation of analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
9. Demonstrated experience with all MS Office products; with proficiency in Excel to extract and analyze data
10. Ability to work independently with little supervision and be self-motivated
11. Ability to work cross functionally both internally and externally with team
