Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Hands on mechanical inspector with the ability to measure machined parts using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, optical comparator, CMM, etc.
- Oversee and/or conducts incoming, special and final inspections
- Able to read blue prints and have a basic knowledge of GD&T
- Assist with internal and external quality system audits
- Work with engineering, production, purchasing and suppliers to establish, promote and monitor quality performance
- Some knowledge of tool calibration standards and techniques
- Experience with CMM programming and operation (a positive)
- Basic computer skills especially Word and Excel
- Good team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Training is available for the right candidate.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to stand, sit, talk or hear, use hands to pick-up, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- May be required to work beyond normal business hours when necessary
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
