General Summary:

The Manufacturing Quality Tech is responsible for assisting with final inspection on finished goods as needed and assisting the Quality and Manufacturing Departments at GenX with other tasks as assigned. This position is very hands on and requires using a risk-based approach to decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Complete documents required for final inspection as needed
• Prepare samples and perform dimensional and visual inspections as needed
• Understand how to use and maintain inspection equipment for daily use
• Provide support to meet quality objectives as outlined in ISO 13485 and company policy / procedures
• Assist with problem solving / root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions to address internal issues found during inspections as well as any external customer issues
• Collect and analyze data for quality, manufacturing, engineering
• Assist with and lead internal audits as assigned by the Quality Manager
• Assist with documentation and control of calibration, maintenance, quality records as needed

Requirements:

• Must be able to work 40hrs per week.
• Must be able to work with or without restrictions in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work independently and be self-directed
• Must have strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Previous experience in inspection.
• Experience using and or programming Vision Systems (Keyence, Nikon, micro Vu, etc.) is a plus
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management systems is preferred
• Experience in internal auditing is preferred
• Proficient with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook preferred
• ASQ certifications are a plus
• Six Sigma training or certifications are a plus
• Experience in injection molding or extrusions is a plus
