Endries International Inc, a distributor of fasteners and other production components servicing a variety of manufacturers around the world, has an opening for a Receiving Associate on our Quality team in Elgin, IL
Do you have a high attention to detail? Are you able to read blueprints and are comfortable on a computer? Are you able to lift up to 70 pounds and willing to drive a forklift? If you answered yes, then read on and see if this job is for you!
As a Receiving Associate you will:
- Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
- Check that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
- Review blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods.
- Record inspection results into the quality database.
- Proposing improvements to the production process
- Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
- Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
Experience/Skills Required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
- Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers
- Blueprint reading capabilities
- Comfortable standing, walking and lifting heave items for long periods of time
