The CAR Group is a dedicated team who provides exceptional HR and business management services to a collection of high-performing, privately held retail automotive dealerships throughout Southern California, Florida, and Texas. The organization maintains its primary operational office near its dealerships in Cerritos, CA. The management group serves over 1,500 employees across 16 physical dealership operations as well as two auxiliary management offices.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, and taking place on site full time in Cerritos, CA. The objective of recruitment is to attain the number and quality of employees that can be chosen to help the organization achieve its objectives and goals. To do this successfully, the Recruiter should be process driven and organized with a focus on time management. They will also be social and curious, with the ability to discern between candidates. For this, they will also have confidence and sales skills. They will be an excellent listener with communication skills that will serve viable candidates, existing employees, management and candidates not hired.

Most days you will fill open positions from the office by interviewing applicants and networking to develop a strong pipeline of ready talent. Other days you will lead hiring events at our dealerships and partner colleges.

- Follow an established process and guidelines for recruitment and onboarding
- Maintain a full calendar of calls, meetings, interviews by phone, video, and in person
- Communicate daily with candidates and hiring managers
- Accept leader feedback and respond with timely updates to their needs and concerns
- Build a Candidate Pipeline
- Contribute daily to a stand-out employer brand that attracts candidates that will support the Norm Reeves mission statement and carry forth our company strategy
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing candidate sources
- Engage your pipeline and stay in touch to keep candidates warm
- Stay up to date on the ways of the business and ensure the interview experience clearly explains the job being offered
- Stay on top of hiring trends and adapt to changes in the candidate market
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related concentration, preferred
- 1-2 years of progressive experience in Recruiting
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Tech-Oriented, experience with CRM, HRIS, and social media
- People and Networking skills
- Professionalism and respect with confidential information
