Hudson River HealthCare (“Sun River Health�) is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County in addition to Suffolk County and New York City. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to work in the Human Resources Department to join our team its Human Resources team. This position will be primarily remote but will be required to report to our Peekskill Executive Office in Peekskill, NY on occasion and as needed.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for coordinating office operations and procedures while championing organizational efficiency not only within the Talent Acquisition scope, but across the full HR department function. The Talent Acquisition Specialist takes adept and enthusiastic ownership of wearing multiple hats. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Position Management, the Manager of Talent Acquisition Operations and remaining Talent Acquisition team
  • Manage background check screening process which will be completed primarily in-house, i.e. direct communication with the candidate and their prior employer, institute or other verifying agency along with the use of HireRight screening service to complete criminal, national sexual offender registry, SSN, NPDB and other checks
  • Maintain OLCP/HRSA files in collaboration with OLCP team and follow-up on any pending documents with candidates and current employees
  • Data entry and review of all eVerify checks to confirm candidate’s employment eligibility
  • Complete and file reference checks
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires as needed to include the following:
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
  • Assist with the making of internal and external offers
  • Drafting offer and transfer letters
  • Follow-up with Employee Health team to retrieve medical clearance for candidate to begin work
  • Assist with any scheduling questions the candidates may have
  • Finalize candidate’s Orientation start date in collaboration with management, eCW Training team and other key leaders

MUST BE:

  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups of employees.
  • An encourager and motivator
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and switch from one task to another with ease
  • Able to work well in a team environment, be self-motivated, and work with little direct supervision
  • A strategic liaison between their office and HQ departments including HR, Special Events, Communications, and Talent Acquisition
  • Comfortable rapidly gaining and applying knowledge, and take pride in impacting all aspects of the business
  • Efficient in MS Office programs
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Software, Oracle and document management system, Docuware is a plus!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employee will be required to stand for periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 10lbs
  • Employee will be required to reach with hands and arms to file and store office supplies

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Work-Related Experience: 2-3 years of experience in office setting or administrative role

Preferred Work-Related Experience: 3-5 years

Salary: Up to $23.08 - $25.64 per hour @ 37.5-hours per week
