Position Summary

The Recruiting Specialist is a key member of the Talent Acquisition team and is responsible for the full life cycle of recruiting, including developing and executing a broad-based sourcing strategy to ultimately deliver highly qualified and competent candidates to the selection process.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies to generate candidate flow to meet overall talent acquisition goals as well as pipelines for upcoming searches
  • Conducts extensive sourcing of passive candidates through research, relationship building, complex internet searches, and talent pool database searching
  • Maintains recruitment systems ensuring information is up-to-date for all open positions
  • Monitors trends and developments in sourcing tools and technologies and utilizes social media for sourcing and other marketing forums to drive traffic to our open opportunities
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with hiring managers to gain a better understanding of required talent and provide insight as needed
  • Manages/updates candidates in various systems -online recruiting sources, applicant tracking system, databases, etc. and provides weekly activity reports
  • Stays current on sourcing best practices/trends
  • Builds recruiting capacity through recruiter network, direct sourcing, education and industry networking, employee referrals and job fairs
  • Manages relationships with recruiting vendors
  • Tracks and reports recruitment effectiveness via metrics
  • Focuses on continuously improving the recruiting processes to maximize efficiencies
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with recruitment responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including office support software i.e., QuickBooks, Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, etc.
  • Experience contacting individuals, companies, schools and other targeted recruiting areas.
  • Experience with recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Etc.
  • Proven excellence in developing positive professional relationships, interviewing candidates, and assessing candidates for effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of/experience in hospitality and/or audiovisual technology is a plus.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
