3D ADDT Program

Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of the ICM 3D Program Manager are in the planning, delivery, and supervision of high-quality services within the ICM Adult Developmental Day Treatment (ADDT) Program located in UA Pulaski Technical College’s (PTC) Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute 3D Program. The 3D Program offers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities post-secondary educational opportunities and preparation for employment through its certificate programs. ICM partners with PTC to provide 3D Program students instruction and opportunities for development in the areas of cognition, communication, social and emotional, motor/adaptive and self-care skills, to provide reinforcement of existing skills, and to provide development of skills generalizable across occupations. The primary duty of the Program Manager will be to ensure successful day-to-day ADDT operations within the 3D Program. This position will primarily be located on the PTC campus.
The Program Manager also assists with ICM Supported Employment programs, including daily operations and provision of services related to ICM’s participation as a Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) Community and Employment Supports (CES) Waiver provider and as an Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) vendor. He or she visits prospective community employers and communicates with owners, managers, and hiring officials with or on behalf of ICM customers and 3D students.
The Program Manager supervises and evaluates ICM staff and is the direct supervisor for 3D Community Connectors. At times, the Manager will serve the same function of Connectors and be responsible for 3D students’ daily training, on-site supervision, monitoring, and direct support. The Program Manager will monitor student progress and ensure that operations and recordkeeping comply with State of Arkansas ADDT requirements. He or she will report and document changes, concerns and / or successes to Supported Employment Director.
Work Schedule
Base schedule will be 40 hours per week, but occasionally may require more hours as circumstances warrant. Weekends, evenings, holidays, and variable hours are not usually necessary but may occasionally be required. Periodic flexibility in schedule is necessary.
Qualifications/Specifications
- Education: High school diploma required. University or college degree in human services, education, vocational rehabilitation, rehabilitation science, social work, or other applicable programs of study is preferred. Extensive and comparable experience may be considered in lieu of educational preferences.
- Experience: Two years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Experience working in an educational setting, in an ADDT program, and/or a culinary program is helpful. Valid Driver’s License and current vehicle insurance required. Must obtain Arkansas Job Coach Certification prior to beginning work.
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Performs at a proficient level all tasks within the specialty area.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work professionally, productively, collaboratively, and successfully with all levels of personnel, ICM and PTC leadership and staff, individuals in the community, ICM customers, and 3D students. Ability to adapt to stressful situations and keep calm in a crisis.
- Essential Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds. Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Critical Cognitive Abilities: Requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Requires superior reasoning ability, a high degree of independent judgment, and discretion.
- Essential Sensory Requirements: Ability to respond to management, staff, partner, and customer needs in a timely manner by interpreting verbal and nonverbal expressions. Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and inconsistent noise levels. Ability to tolerate varying smells associated with food production. Ability to tolerate and possibly participate in the preparation of meat-based food products in the context of 3D Program academic instruction.
- Other: Understands the mission and vision of Independent Case Management. Operates within the concept of client focused care. Must adhere to dress code, good grooming, personal hygiene habits, and attendance policies. Must maintain knowledge and conform to ICM and program policies and procedures. Primary Duties
- Assists in all aspects of planning, daily operations, and delivery of services in the ICM ADDT partnership with PTC 3D and in other employment-related programs.
- Serves as direct supervisor for ICM 3D Community Connectors. Trains, supervises, and mentors Connectors.
- Ensures compliance with all Arkansas ADDT and ICM reporting requirements.
- Serves/functions as backup or additional 3D Community Connector when necessary.
- Provides direct instructional assistance, job coaching, and/or onsite supports for 3D students and ICM customers as directed.
- Coordinates and schedules 3D student transportation services.
- Provides job development services for ICM customers. Visits prospective community employers on behalf of customers and agency, schedules and participates in informational interviews, communicates available supports and services, and assists customers in obtaining interviews and employment.
- Obtains and maintains effective relationships with community employers.
- Provides vocational readiness instruction and direct assistance to customers in applying and interviewing for jobs.
- Provides transportation for customers to and from interviews and his/her place of employment if necessary.
- Obtains job coach certification within one week of beginning work and provides job coaching services when necessary.
- Follows all requirements set forth in ICM policies and procedures and ICM supported employment standard operating procedures.
- Understands and complies with all HIPAA regulations.
- Provides intervention in crisis situations. Some unusual conditions exist.
- Performs other duties as identified by the Supported Employment Director.
