Lamers Bus Lines is now hiring a Recruiting & Safety Coordinator for School Bus Operations for Lamers Bus Lines locations in south central Wisconsin. This position will serve several Lamers locations, including Waunakee, Baraboo, Sauk City, Spring Green, and Dodgeville. Candidates should be willing to be self-motivated, willing to try new ideas, and able to speak to groups and individuals about driving opportunities at Lamers Bus Lines. This position will be responsible for hiring drivers, maintaining driver records, and adhering to Lamers and OSHA safety protocol. Applicants should be able to obtain and maintain a CDL license with proper endorsements.

Primary Duties (Including but not limited to)

• Recruitment and Review of new School Bus and or Van Driver candidates.
• Federal and State background checks, DOT certification and compliance.
• Conduct Initial hiring interviews and orientation.
• Oversee and facilitate pre-hire, random pool and reasonable suspicion drug / alcohol testing records.
• Maintain complete and accurate employee records on-site.
• Ensure OSHA and Lamers safety protocol compliance on-site and Driver Best practices during daily operations.
• Ability to obtain a Wisconsin Class B CDL with both P and S endorsements.
• Willingness to learn and assist with school bus routes, field trips and safety training.

Additional Requirements: Advanced Customer Service skills (including but not limited to)

• Accurate and timely data-entry utilizing Windows based programs and software.
• Excellent customer communication ability ( internal and external ) via telephone, e-mail and direct correspondence.
• Proven Leadership ability in a fast-paced, multi-tasked office environment with an emphasis on discretion is preferred.
• Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
