Regional Vice President Job at MorningStar Senior Management
Summary of Role:
The Regional Vice President of Wellness oversees the healthcare operations of the assigned communities in WA, OR, MT, and ID, provide support services, and ensure compliance with state regulations. This position must exhibit genuine interest in resident care and show patience and understanding while working with community clinicians, residents, families, and visitors.
- *Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Provide supervision and oversight of Wellness Directors at every community in assigned portfolio.
- Provide training and education to Wellness Directors on an ongoing basis at least twice a year. This includes classroom in-services and situation specific training.
- Supervise the maintenance of resident charts and perform documentation reviews, in accordance with organization standards.
- Assist Wellness Directors in organizing, developing, and conducting service plan reviews in accordance with state requirements - with appropriate resident care team members and resident families.
- Participate in QAPI/safety committee meeting.
- Ensure community infection control guidelines are met.
- Assist Wellness Directors with resident assessments for move-in and provide clinical expertise on levels of care and appropriate interventions, in accordance with organization standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and coordinate inter-disciplinary and third-party relationships to establish collaboration of care for community residents.
- Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Knowledge of Assisted Living regulations, medication administration regulations, and Occurrence reporting; ensuring all communities are adhering to regulations and policies.
- Proficiency in regulatory survey management and etiquette.
- Perform regular, routine site visits to the communities assigned.

Job Qualifications:*

- Current EN Nursing License issued by appropriate state licensing agency. CPR/First Aid or BLS is required.
- A minimum of 3-7 years’ experience working with the elderly population in an assisted living, skilled nursing or hospital environment.
- Basic typing skills along with a working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software, basic knowledge of HER and eMAR systems preferred.
- Preferred and encouraged to participate in outside community civic organizations and associations.
- Work well with people including staff, residents, families, and outside community. Communicate the services of the facility to prospective resident, families and the community.
- *Physical Requirements and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak, hear and write in English. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk sit, and use hands and fingers. The employee is occasionally required to bend, kneel and squat. The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds. Other: Use of telephone, repetition of computer and keyboard, use of small appliances and office equipment, and ability to deal with hot and cold temperature fluctuations.
