Originally named John F. Kennedy Hospital in honor of our nation's 35th president in 1966, HCA Florida JFK Hospital has since grown into a multi-campus medical center with four Palm Beach County locations.

Description:

Provides professional nursing care within the Medical Surgical Cardiac Unit, coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Treatment of post cardiac surgery and cardiac ailments.

Our nurses who work within the Medical Surgical Cardiac unit at JFK care for Post cardiac patients. Registered nurse responsibilities include all aspects of patient care. This care includes monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, breathing and respiration, as well as managing the pain and nausea.

• Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida o or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• One year (1) year of Medical Surgical Nursing experience preferred.
