The Relationship Bankers at First Bank and Trust are the primary contact for our customers. Relationship Bankers provide our customers with superior and quality customer service. The individuals promote the Bank’s products and services and provide customer referrals for new products and services on a daily basis. Relationship Bankers work as Tellers, Customer Service Representative and provide E-Commerce support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates a teller's window to serve the bank's customers by:

  • Accepting deposits, verifying cash and endorsements and giving customers their receipts.
    • Identifying customers and cashing checks
    • Accepting savings deposits and withdrawals, verifying signatures.
    • Providing additional customer services including Cashier’s Checks and Stop Payments.
    • Balances cash daily.
    • Accepting payments for all loans.
    • May be responsible for bank opening/closing.
  • Promotes the bank's products and services.
  • Makes concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
  • Follows teller over/short policy.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers and potential customers.
  • Balance and service ATM as needed.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Processes night deposit and mail.
  • Balances cash drawer, reports discrepancies to supervisors and maintains cash drawer within established limits.
  • Places and/or verifies holds.
  • Opens and processes new account products and services within the banks.
  • Provides clients with information on deposit accounts, rates, service changes, restrictions, financial services and other relevant account information.
  • Cross sells bank products and services and refers clients to other departments as appropriate.
  • Provides administrative support to branch office manager as requested.
  • Solicits, installs, and supports E-Commerce products and services.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
:

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required.
  • Associate Degree - Accounting, Business, Finance, Communications and/or Marketing - preferred.
  • Three or more years of customer service experience - preferred.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Professional
  • Ability to work Saturdays as required.
