Remote Draftsperson Job at Allegheny Millwork
Reports to the Drafting Supervisor
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create the correct model in AutoCAD
- Find out customer requirements by speaking to them
- Make revisions on a model based on customer requirements
- Specify material used on model
- Compute mathematical formulas to find correct dimensions
- Create models out of rough sketches
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure the model is correct
- Develop standardized models of products
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Very detail oriented
- Knowledge of necessary regulations
- Great time management skills
- Ability to work on your own
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to stay organized
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
- Solid mathematical skills
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in drafting from technical school preferred OR AutoCAD certificate required
- Experience with AutoCAD software (2-3 years minimum)
- 3 years of millwork experience required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel to yearly conference to PA headquarters
