Resident Manager - Valley Cities Landing - Live On-Site Job at Valley Cities
The Resident Manager provides direct support to formerly homeless adults living at Valley Cities Landing, Phoenix Rising and Valley Cities Modulars - Valley Cities' permanent supporting housing program for young adults, veterans, and individuals with mental health issues.
The Resident Manager lives on-site at Valley Cities Landing and is provided with 2-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment (utilities included) at the cost of $1656 ($1456 rent and $200 utilities) per month. This position requires overnight and weekend on-call availability. The Resident Manager unit is reserved for someone who meets 50% Area Median income eligibility.
Essential Job Functions: (This is not the job description in its entirety)
- Responsibilities include ensuring property and resident safety and mediating resident conflict.
- Be on-call over night and on weekends to address property emergencies and resident lock outs.
- Demonstrate effective engagement skills with individuals who have experienced trauma, homelessness, and related challenges.
- Report concerning issues to housing program staff daily.
- Keep records and provide supervisor with essential information pertinent to the safety of residents and building operations.
- Complete housing after hours logs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School diploma
Experience:
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Prior experience working with homeless and mentally health population preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with issues related to homelessness.
- Ability to maintain strong professional boundaries.
- Understanding of Trauma-Informed Care principles and service provision
Other:
- Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor's Registration
- Pass required background checks.
- Must have a valid State of Washington identification
As a health care entity, the COVID 19 vaccination is required. New hire must provide proof of vaccination upon hire.
