LEAD RESIDENT MANAGER (RM)
Type of Position: PART TIME, availability for emergencies outside of normal business hours
Location: Glen Rock, PA
Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the management of a 2-year therapeutic residential program for women who are in recovery from domestic sex trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. Sparrow Place is modeled after the highly successful community recovery model of Magdalene House, Thistle Farms, TN. We are the first sister community in

The Residence Manager (RM) works under the Program Director (PD) to implement best practices and excellent standards of residential care for survivors of trafficking. The RM fosters a home and work environment that promotes physical and psychological safety, and personal accountability.
The ability to empower and inspire Residents to achieve their goals is critical.
This position is supported by the Executive Director, Program
Director, volunteers, and includes: Direct Care of the RESIDENTS.
▪ Set the tone for a loving, caring community of support and growth, being available and approachable to women who have suffered great abuse and trauma
▪ Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to Residents, Drivers and
Volunteers.
▪ Coordinate coverage of the residence
▪ Distribute approved medication and assist with prescription management and access
▪ Facilitate weekly 1-on-1 Meetings with Residents to help establish goals and schedules
▪ Provide Case Management
▪ Coordinate 12-Step meeting attendance and offer support for relapse prevention
▪ Coordinate transportation for Resident appointment and activities, transport as necessary
▪ Mentor life-skills and assist Residents with meal planning, shopping, appointments, chores, and other, as needed
▪Ensure policies and procedures are being followed, skillfully respond to crises, and assist
Residents with emotion regulation
▪ Facilitate Resident rewards and consequences
*Facilitate weekly Residential Team Meetings, keeping Staff and Volunteers informed and working cohesively
▪ Approve and monitor Day and Overnight pass requests
▪ Collect mail and drop off appropriate mail and packages to Residents
Operations of the RESIDENCE
▪ Review/practice Incident, Accident, and Emergency Protocols with Residents and Volunteers
▪ Provide accountability for house chores and report discovered house repairs to the Program
Director or designated contact
▪ Use software/Google Docs to record Resident progress and work with the PD to maintain official records and documentation
▪ Track budgetary spending and provide receipts for Residents and home, i.e., food, repairs, basic needs, medical, prescriptions
▪ Conduct and/or attend Residential Team meetings and trainings
▪ Conduct random drug/pregnancy checks and room/perimeter searches, as needed
▪ Maintain residence - ensuring it is safe, clean, and orderly
▪ Create and oversee system to manage inventory of supplies and in-kind donations, including gift cards
▪ Help coordinate and oversee Volunteer Groups for seasonal projects
OTHER Responsibilities, as needed:
▪ Help provide community education about the work of SP and the need for survivor services, as needed
▪ Develop working partnerships on behalf of Residents with community partners and local service agencies

_Understanding the needs of a 24hr resident may require flexible hours

⎯ Strong interpersonal communication and team building skills
⎯ Able to maintain a healthy, safe, and stable environment for
Residents and Volunteers
⎯ Able to work with, or learn to work with Zoom and Google
Docs/Sheets and MS Excel and Word Docs
⎯ Willingness to respond after hours in case of emergency
⎯ Experience in the field of social welfare/social work/counseling/human services
(volunteer or employment)
⎯ Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, vehicle, and insurance ⎯
Participation in required training on human trafficking, trauma, and
addiction
⎯ Successful completion of criminal background check
Preferred Experience:
⎯ Associate degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or
related field, or related experience ⎯ Case management and/or clinical care
experience
⎯ Course work and/or clinical care experience in the areas of trauma informed care, addiction, alcohol and drug abuse, and physical, emotional, and sexual abuse ⎯
Work or Volunteer experience at a residential, shelter, recovery, or crisis facility ⎯
Supervising experience of Volunteers
