Resort Room Attendant

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

Pay: $18.25 per hour or Depending on Experience

General Position Summary: Maintains clean and attractive guest rooms and common areas in keeping with the organizations cleanliness standards.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Approaches all guest encounters utilizing the Cleary Superior Customer Service standards
• Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans carpet and flooring in the rooms and throughout the facility
• Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in guest rooms
• Prepares beds, cleans restrooms and replaces amenities
• Strips beds and collects dirty linens while following organizations blood borne pathogen program
• Removes trash and debris from guest rooms and follows the organizations lost found procedures
• Accepts responsibility for a Pass Key during assigned shift; turns the Pass Key in to the appropriate person at the end of the shift
• Loads and unloads laundry machinery and performs all stages of linen processing, (sorting soiled and clean linen etc.)
• Attends all vendor and company training
• Cleans laundry machinery as necessary
• Assists in laundry inventories

Secondary Functions:

• Effectively manages time in an effort to stay within the daily cleaning schedule
• Reports all room damage immediately to the housekeeping supervisor
• Maintains confidentiality of all guests
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED desired. A minimum of six (6) months prior housekeeping/environmental services and/or laundry experience. CPR Certification.

Job Scope: Performs duties as directed under the direction of the housekeeping supervisor and manager, operating from established practices and procedures. Decisions are made within general company policy constraints, but require some independent decision-making. Has access to all housekeeping and laundry areas.

Job Conditions: Working conditions include working in a spa with equipment necessary to provide services as outlined in this job description. Other working conditions may include working with others, frequent interruptions, and working evenings and/or weekends. Working in a smoke-filled environment may be necessary. Other conditions include working alone with frequent interruptions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift seventy-five (75) pounds while standing, twisting, or bending. Manual and finger dexterity is required to perform duties and may involve standing, sitting, bending, kneeling for extended periods of time and will include reaching with arms and hands.
