Waldorf Astoria is looking for a
Restaurant General Manager
to join the Food and BeverageTeam at this gorgeous Atlanta property!

Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this Forbes 4-Star hotel is a 42-story tower with over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will oversee and report directly to the Hotel Manager.

Brassica is a timeless dining destination that fuses the richness and long history of French Brasserie fare with Southern influences cuisine. Using locally sourced ingredients, this 3-meal restaurant captures hotel guests, Buckhead residents and visitors. The Bar focuses on an innovative beverage program and a small bites menu.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with a passion for providing exceptional service, a keen eye for detail, extensive wine knowledge, and a talent for developing others.

What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant General Manager, you would be responsible for directing and administering the activities and services of a designated restaurant(s) in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
  • Monitor and assess product and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • Initiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue including, but not limited to, creating new menus and cross-selling products and services hotel-wide.
  • Provide leadership support to In-Room Dining team members in the absence of the Food & Beverage Outlet Manager.
  • Ensure team members have current knowledge of outlet offerings, products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
