Blackwell's Wines & Spirits (www.blackwellswines.com) is looking for an energetic and detail oriented individual to join our San Rafael location. We are a boutique bottle shop, with a 19+ year presence in San Francisco, and a second location since 2018 in Marin County!

We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to join our team in San Rafael. Polished customer services skills and basic office computer aptitude are a must, as is a genuine passion for the libations industry.

Working as part of the tight knit San Rafael team, you will also coordinate remotely with our San Francisco team. Monthly all-location team meetings, periodic get togethers during the year, and various competitions throughout the year add extra fun to the job!

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers visiting our store location
• Assist with online and phone order fulfillment: assemble orders/pack boxes/customer follow up via phone & email
• Stock and manage inventory on retail floor and storage area
• Maintain presentation of the store
• Assist with merchandising displays
• Assist with vendor tastings and product selections: opportunity to try a myriad of wines & spirits

Qualifications:

• Professional customer service demeanor: polished people and communication skills.
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
• Ability to multitask and stay on point when jumping between job functions.
• Basic knowledge of the wine/spirits/beer industry - and enthusiasm to geek out and learn more
• Ability to lift 40-50lbs, and stay on feet for 7-8 hours per day.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and motivation.
• Must be at least 21 years old

This position provides the opportunity to grow more involved in various aspects of the business: marketing, online sales, product research, etc.
