Hephzibah Children's Association is a non-profit social service agency located in Oak Park, IL.

The agency offers a variety of programs including residential programs for young children, foster care, intact, and family/parenting programs, and after school and summer care for elementary aged children.

We are seeking a Recruitment and Retention Specialist to join our team and work closely with our hiring managers on staffing needs. This person will be responsible for overall general support in the Human Resources department specifically in the areas of staffing and retention. Job duties include identifying, and expanding recruitment sources, posting postions, and screening candidates for specific positions in the agency. Will continue relationships with new hires and current staff in working on retention strategies. Will work closely with hiring managers and HR staff in accordance with agency policies, available resources and applicable state and federal laws.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field from an accredited college or university desired.
  • At least three years specializing in staffing and recruitment recruitment skills required. PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Exerience in traditional and social media recruitment methods
  • High degree of independence and self-initiative
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work independently, and ability to collaborate effectively with staff, oversight agencies, and the public.
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, good judgment and decision-making skills, high ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting benefits, including but not limited to: ACA, ADA/ADAA, ADEA, COBRA, DOL, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the staff and client populations.
