What you will do

The Revenue Dealer Agent is responsible for the regulation and enforcement of motor vehicle laws related to dealer licensing in South Dakota. The Dealer Agent will ensue the sale of motor vehicles in compliance with the state and federal laws, verify record keeping is in accordance with state laws, and will investigate and resolve vehicle related complaints. Dealer Agents assist taxpayers, dealers, financial institutions, law enforcement, and other governmental agencies with dealer licensing questions, title and registration, and motor vehicle excise tax. The position will train new and existing dealers on laws, procedures, the dealer computer system, and assist the public with questions related to motor vehicle regulations. The agent will be part of a five-member team each covering a territory in the state. This position is based out of the Sioux Falls Department of Revenue office.
