APPLICATIONS

Primary resource for Meditech Financial applications.

This role is responsible for the overall monitoring of all Financial and Revenue Cycle system issues and performance. Effective communication with Meditech superusers to ensure notice of updates and activities for the Meditech system. Supports Meditech application software with a firm understanding of module functionality and integration. This includes the knowledge to troubleshoot, identify and prioritize the needs of Registration, Finance, and Billing. Primary resource for Finance Applications including Materials Management, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets. This includes vendor coordination for project implementations and ongoing support. Coordinates and oversees the testing and delivery of software changes for Revenue Cycle and Financial Applications. Works with Finance, HR, and Payroll as needed for non-Meditech applications such as UKG and Strata.

TEAM LEAD

Resource and mentor to the Revenue Cycle and Finance Team. Monitoring and Leadership for Administrative, Finance and Revenue Cycle staff. Effective communication with IS Applications Team and Director of IS Applications to prioritize, coordinate and escalate items as appropriate. Effectively manages projects utilizing standard Project Management tools and techniques. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and completes assignments to meet deadlines. Assists in the development of training materials to educate users in a proficient manner. Demonstrates good judgment in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions. Demonstrates effective customer service and relations. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

A 2-4 year degree in Computer Science from College or University is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration recommended.

A minimum of seven years’ experience in application support as analyst, accountant, or a finance related field.

This individual needs to be highly trained in all aspects of the Meditech System.

The working knowledge of Personal Computers (workstations and servers) is preferred.

Must be able to implement, maintain and support specific Meditech applications.

Must be able to learn and support other non-Meditech applications.

Analyzes processes which relate to these applications and consult with users regarding improvements to maximize efficiency.

Must be able to communicate and effectively exchange information with Information Systems staff, other Meadville Medical Center staff, physicians, physician office, revenue cycle staff, and other customers.

Must be available for after hours on-call coverage for patient care critical interface issues.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Generally, works in a well-lit, clean, temperature regulated office environment. May be required to be in various hospital departments.
