Riverside Ice Arena Guest Services Job at BELVIDERE PARK DISTRICT
Description:
Guest Services staff will serve as cashiers as well as skate guards. They are responsible for handling the Point of Sale operations as well as enforcing all rules and regulations of the Riverside Ice Arena. In addition, they will assist the Facility Coordinator will all patron activities such as BPD programs and rentals. Also help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. If experienced, assist with skate lessons.
Classification: Seasonal, Part-time Class 1
Hours: Up to 30 hours per week.
Works on-site during facility hours or rentals and will vary depending on season, month, day or time.
Shifts can fluctuate depending on a particular league or rental and include nights, weekends and midweek hours
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Must be able to skate proficiently, which includes being able to do hockey stops, crossovers and maintaining good balance through-out.
- Possess decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
- Capable of handling money and completing necessary reports.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in several environmental extremes, typical with working in the Midwest climate.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
