CenterPointe Hospital is a private, 150-bed psychiatric hospital that provides life-changing care for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Inpatient and outpatient treatment are provided for a range of mental health and substance abuse disorders.

We are currently looking to fill two House Supervisor positions. The positions are day shift (7a to 7p) and night shift (7p to 7a). There is a weekend rotation for this position.

Job Summary:

The House Supervisor assumes responsibility for the complete facility operations during the assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, and ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position has responsibility for the supervision of care of all patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibility for the complete facility ooperations during the assigned shift
• Assists Nurse Manager in evaluation of the staff's performance
• Schedules staff according to accuity and budgetary guidelines
• Communicates effectively with the Administrator-on-call
• Collaborates with other team members in regard to patient care
• Assist with planning and teaching staff development programs
• Documents the treatment plan, nursing interventions and the patient's responses to the intervention

Qualifications:

Education - RN (BSN) Degree from an accredited program in professional nursing is preffered; or equivalent combination of related education and experience is required.

Experience - Sufficent experience in acute hospital setting; preferably in a psychiatric facility. Supervisory/managerial experience preferred.

Licensure - Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements - CPR certification is required. Successful completion of crisis prevention intervention training provided during orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures, and you must pass a medication administration exam.
