As a Registered Nurse Med/Surg , you will provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, under the supervision of a RN. A few essential functions under the direction of an RN include:
- contributing to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis
- performing plans of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care
- administering medication
- assisting RN with the development and documentation of the care plan
- assisting patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
- work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
Qualifications
Texas RN licensure or application for licensure (with temporary permit).
BCLS and ACLS certification required within the first 6 months of hire.
