RN Observation Unit In-House Contract Nights Job at Suburban Hospital
The Registered Nurse / RN will work within our Observation/Clinical Decision Unit, a 20 bed observation unit that works closely with the Emergency Department’s 32 bed unit. The CDU provides an alternative to discharge or hospital inpatient admission for the emergency department patient who may benefit from an extended observation period (generally less than 24 hours). Patients of all age ranges who are not ill enough to warrant immediate inpatient hospital admission but are also not well enough to return to their place of residence may need additional monitoring, diagnostic evaluation, and/or treatment in an observation unit/CDU prior to disposition.
The Nurse Clinician / RN is responsible for independently planning, coordinating, and directing those activities essential to the provision of quality nursing care for assigned patients; coordinating the medical plan provided by support service departments relating to the assigned patients; identifying and implementing nursing interventions and evaluates results; and demonstrating developing leadership qualities.

- Full Time, 36hrs per week
- Days, 7p - 7:30a
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled within 6 months of hire
- Must have a minimum of one year experience
