Position Summary
With the supervision of the HIM Supervisor, the ROI specialist oversees day to day supervision and management of the release of information processes.
Record Request:
Fulfilling external requests from Care Partners & Government/Agencies for physical documentation, responsible for process from start to finish.
Coordination of Care:
Releasing routine documentation prepared by LifeCircles to partnered SNFs/ALFs/AFCs.
Referrals:
Assisting social work with COC documents for placements; respite/acute stays and long-term care at SNFs/ALFs.
Guardianship Reports:
Generating reports for annual guardianship requirements.
Claims:
Obtaining and compiling records for high-cost claims to be reviewed by HIM Analyst.
Capacity Evaluation/Enactment:
Pulling records from TruChart as requested by Psychologist for COC relating to the enactment process.
Care Circle:
Managing Consent to Share forms and maintaining CareCircle Contacts.

Required Qualifications
- RHIT Certification - Preferred
- Min. of 2 years prior experience in a medical records/HIM department or similar setting - Required
- Expertise in Health Information functions and operations; knowledge of Electronic Health Records systems, HIPAA regulations, & medical terminology - Required
- Strong computer software experience; general working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, & Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Personal drive and focus on measurable goals.
- Excellent organizational skills
