Our ideal candidates will responsible for the handling the loads of paper rolls, maintenance, efficient set-up, and monitoring while disposing unwanted materials accordingly all in a safely manner. Assist Web Press Operation regarding inventory and reports along with cooperating verbally and written with staff. All while meeting volume/efficiency productivity expectations. *THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION, MUST WORK ON-SITE IN HAUPPAUGE, LONG ISLAND*

How You'll Help Us Be Successful:

• Prepare and mount paper rolls at infeed end of press, remove plug, place shaft through roll and load onto roll stand by using electrical hoist.
• Dispose of core and wrapper in proper location.
• Maintains press with supply of appropriate paper and corrects any breaks in web under the direction of web press operator.
• Accurately completes al paper reports.
• Return unused stock to inventory and reports any damaged stock to the Web Press Operator.
• Monitors and fills inks and fountain solutions.
• Monitors and fills press chemistry as needed.
• Wash blankets and lubricate the press.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleanliness of roll stand and press infeed area.
• Setup and operation of Martin and Butler Splicers.
• Ability to interact personally and in a written manner with peers as well as company management in a positive, interpersonal manner which does not cause undue interruptions, hostility, errors, undue stress or other disruptive behavior.
• Provide attention and vigilance while on the job to ensure the safety of others and the equipment and to ensure the quality of work.

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

• 2 years minimum equivalent work experience
• Strong organizational, and time management skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with pallet jack equipment
• Strong Mechanical aptitude and ability to accurately place product on skids for production in bindery
• Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
• Energetic, dependable and a reliable team player
• Ability to follow directions, safety standards and be on-call for emergency situations
• Willing to work overtime as required, occasionally on short notice
• Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery
