ShipSage is a fast-growing 3PL fulfillment company searching for an experienced Account Executive who welcomes the challenge of meeting the needs of a growing business. We're specifically looking for an Account Executive who will help implement the Company's customer success strategies, managing and growing a portfolio account by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. We are looking for an enthusiastic and results driven team member that is able to strive under pressure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding their focus and anticipating their needs.
- Responding to customer inquiries, managing customer accounts, and resolving issues with the help of upper management.
- Review the customer journey, identifying how it’s supported, and taking a consultative approach in helping clients overcome issues and achieve goals.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow.
- Stay current with company offerings and industry trends.
- Serve as day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, building trust and rapport while identifying areas of opportunity, highlighting best practices, and documenting them.
- Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities, compile and analyze data to identify trends.
- Collaborate, problem solve, and/or strategize upcoming client meetings with team members.
- Prepare necessary documentation or visuals for clients’ meetings.
- Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors.
- Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices.
- Attend conferences and events to build networks and generate leads.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer success.
- B.A. in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing is required.
- Industry experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing the accounts.
- Excellent strategic planning, and project management skills.
- Analytical and process-oriented mindset.
- Ability to be flexible and quickly adjust to the changes of clients and business needs.
- Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Hubspot) is a plus.
- Domestic Travel is required approximately 15%.
LOCATION: Chicagoland area, IL (75% remote)
