Location Description:
Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Reliability Supervisor, schedule and coordinate work for planned maintenance teams, small modification manager, project engineers and project managers. This includes mechanical, electrical and electronic plant/equipment maintenance, small modifications and capital work in adherence to company safety policies, to ensure production uptime is maximized.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and refine the work scheduling process, so that an accessible daily, weekly and rolling four week schedule is effectively provided for the site. Combine ready to schedule work orders, engineering projects and small modifications into a unified and easy-to-understand format.
- Create and lead in the development and execution of a methodical and structured scheduling process, with appropriate meetings designed to merge work demands with the available resources. The schedule shall provide resources to execute the most important work first, based on equipment criticality, priority and work order age. When all other factors are equal, priority is to be given to work that is dependent on scheduled line downtime, preventive and predictive tasks.
- When unplanned work is scheduled, provide support for planned work teams to develop a written job plan on which to form a formal procedure.
- Must develop effective work schedules: plan workloads, maximize uptime and follow-up on work issues.
- Identify and solve personnel issues to maintain a productive work environment.
- Communicate closely with Maintenance Planner Supervisor to ensure reasonable work loads and resolve conflicting priorities.
- Participate in and refine the daily work review meetings to include updates to the schedule on the live document, so the scope is clear to all users.
- Works with Reliability Techs and Maintenance Planners to properly manage the generation and coordination of preventive and predictive work tasks, which are considered planned work, and can be scheduled.
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other software tools to develop schedules and reports.
- Provide the planned work supervisor, project engineers, project managers and coordinators with a means to properly document their work. Provide timely and accurate status updates for work, such that stakeholders can determine the real-time progress of work in their area.
- Develop, measure and trend key metrics for work scheduling excellence. These measures should reflect the continuing health of the scheduling process and progress toward better results. Communicate these results regularly and post them in a visible and accessible location.
- Develop the scheduling process in a formal, written form, and work with the planning team to train at least 2 other people to perform the scheduling function when the Scheduler is not available.
- High school diploma required
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing
- 1- 2 years of scheduling experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Computer proficiency including Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a face-paced environment.
- Ability to assess complex tables of information, read detailed work calendars, combine verbal, written and other abstract sources of information.
- Ability to work occasional weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a production environment, walk and climb stairs, sit at a desk for several hours per day, lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
