Scrap Yard Worker (La Grange, NC) Job at Foss Recycling Inc
- Assist the Location Manager in ensuring correct weights, materials description and grade for all inbound and outbound loads.
- To work under the direction of the Location Manager in processing, sorting, grading, and baling/boxing of all materials.
- Be able to operate the scales. All scale tickets must be verified and contain correct information in regards to customer, material, weights (including gross and tare when applicable), and pictures.
- Starting pay will be based on experience and metal knowledge.
Requirements:
- Preferred: A High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred two (2) years in scrap metal recycling environment.
- Must have the skills and ability to identify various metals. Metals must be sorted and unloaded in accordance with Company Policy. Must perform hands-on work using equipment to move the heavier metals.
- Must be able to pass a drug test & background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
