Job Summary:
The Automatic Seaming Technician is responsible for the day-to-day electrical and mechanical support for the seaming department. This includes both automatic and manual seaming machines, as well as, various support equipment. This position reports directly to the Seaming Area Manager. Albany International is also an Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans and Disabled.
Safety and Procedures:
- Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job.
- Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role.
- Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned.
- Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform machine start-up with operators
- Troubleshoot machine problems as they occur
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines
- Install new equipment as needed
- Other duties as directed

Required Experience:
- One year work experience (Manufacturing)
Education Requirements:
- College diploma
- Field of study:Associates Degree in Electromechanical Technology, Computer Control Engineering Technology, Automated Manufacturing Systems, or related degree strongly preferred. If candidate does not have a degree, must be willing to complete the Industrial maintenance mechanic diploma through FVTC within 2 years
