City Floral Garden Center, a 100+ year old Garden Center located in Central Denver, is seeking an experienced individual to work as a lead in the custom annuals division. Candidates must have a firm commitment to extremely high-quality standards, be well spoken, service minded, and a strong team player who works well alone or in a crew. They will be expected to receive and carry out instructions in a positive, productive manner and with strict adherence to City Floral’s standards of excellence in both products and services. They will consistently ask questions, be eager and able to learn new skills, have an extremely good eye for detail, and be willing to actively support and dedicate themselves to the unique philosophies and methodologies of the organization. Must be hard-working, reliable, on-time, and have a strong drive towards pride in their work along with a desire to continually improve upon existing skills, knowledge, and productivity, as they apply to City Floral in particular.

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time, seasonal position with the opportunity to become full-time, permanent with growth/development of the division. This candidate will have opportunity to gain experience in different landscape departments. Duties include but not limited to:

· Strong annuals plant knowledge, and installation experience

· Experience working directly with clients in a high-end, high-service environment

· Desire to work in both retail and field environments as required.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to keep up with peak seasonal demands.

· Desire to work in a physical job where you are able to spend a lot of time outdoors.

· Detail orientated, strong organizational skills, self-starter, takes directions well, and adaptable to different environments.

· Able to properly deadhead perennials/annuals.

· Weed beds/pots.

· Plant perennials/annuals/trees/shrubs,

· Identify major pest & disease infestations.

· Extensive plant knowledge (variety & care) is a definite plus

· Driver license and good driving record a must.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
