JOB DUTIES:

· Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

· Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.

· Accurately log inbound / outbound traffic via site specific site procedures through control post, verifying delivery paperwork and notifying operations

· Complete all required end of shift incident reports

· Provide direction and support to associates needing assistance with security matters

· Monitor truck yard activity to ensure the security of the facility, preventing unauthorized access

· Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, unusual circumstances and/or behavior, maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, etc.

· Conduct visual inspections of vehicles entering and leaving the facility property as directed

· Participate in Emergency Evacuation responses

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

SECURITY OFFICER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a background and drug screening. Must be able to read/write/speak English. Surveillance Skills, Deals with Uncertainty, Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Safety Management, Professionalism, Reporting Skills. Military Background Knowledge Preferred.
