Minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of experience managing technical projects within the security and compliance domains in Financial Services, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Telecommunications, Public Sector, or Energy, including experience leading strategy or modernization projects.
- Experience in Public or Private Sector cybersecurity.
- Experience with audit, compliance, risk, and security methodologies and best practices.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience applying technology to solve business problems.
- Knowledge of the Public Sector cybersecurity landscape.
- Understanding of microservices, kubernetes, containers, modern app development, and modern cloud operations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and manage talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT/Security technology space.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to deliver a professional business and technical pitch to the executive-suite and board levels.

As a Security Strategist within the Public Sector Specialty Sales organization, you will establish deep relationships with public sector agencies, providing independent advice and recommendations to the technical executive-suite, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Risk and Compliance officers, while representing Google Cloud Public Sector.
In this role, you will host private white boarding sessions with Public Sector CISO’s, delivering public talks on emerging security trends and best practices, conduct thorough investigations with internal Engineering teams on the key use cases for a given launch, and lead a cross-functional Google technical working team through a critical engagement with Public Sector CISO, Chief Risk Officer (CRO), and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) organizations. You will also work on value and volume business strategy, programs, solutions, and campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional teams and the enablement of field and partner community.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$232,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Partner with public sector customers and partners as their most trusted Google security and compliance advisor, identifying cloud related security and compliance design, development, and deployment friction points from the customers’ perspective, and rally teams to work through solutions.
- Work with customers and partners to define joint initiatives and co-create their cloud security and compliance transformation journey, collaborating across functional and product areas to bring the best of Google to the customer.
- Advocate for the innovation of Google security and compliance and help translate it into actionable steps global companies can take towards adoption.
- Create value and volume security, campaigns, programs, and solutions.
- Act as a mentor and leader to the wider Google Cloud security and compliance professionals.
