Senior Accountant Job at Retirement Unlimited Inc
Retirement Unlimited, Inc., a premiere provider of Residential Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team!
The Senior Accountant will collaborate with the Controller and CFO to perform all accounting functions, including performing financial analysis and maintenance of accounting transactions and reconciliations in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Accountant to ensure day-to-day functions are completed.
- Provides Accountants and accounting team with training.
- Provide guidance to Accountants in non-routine transactions.
- Assist and participate in monthly financial close, ensuring transaction accuracy and timeliness of activities.
- Analyzes financial data, making recommendations as appropriate to improve accuracy, efficiency, and to reduce costs.
- Reviews and/or assists with preparation of financial statements and records provided to federal, state, and internal auditors.
- Collaborate with communities and other departments to resolve inquiries related to financial statements.
- Prepare and process various journal entries.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations.
- Ensure reporting to Owners is provided timely, accurately, and completely.
